Lady Lylliannah: “Ah, so this is where you’ve been hiding. I’m happy to say that we finally all came to an agreement.”

Celeste: “Oh?”

Lady Lylliannah: “The human girl is to be turned and live in undeath as your attendant.”

Celeste: “Are you all barking mad? Also, how did you even get Vlad and Iris to agree to that?”

Lady Lylliannah: “It was Vlad’s idea. He said you clearly need more help, so not put her to use?”

Celeste: “You know I cannot promise this young girl’s safety here, vampire or not. We’re fighting a war on this land, after all.”

Lady Lylliannah: “Yes, which is absolutely dreadful. However, we thought of that as well. There are going to be some new requirements of you with this arrangement.”

*Meanwhile, in the council chamber…*

Lady Iris: “I think I speak for all of us when I say that this situation has been handled quite poorly.”

Lord Vladislaus: “Indeed.”

Lady Eloise: “Yes! I seem to remember you saying that you’d never let something like this happen again. I certainly hope you didn’t think that having only one lone young vampire on guard was a sound plan.”

Lady Lylliannah: “Only one guard? Celeste, what happened to my darling gargoyles that I lent you?”

Celeste: “I don’t know. They said they had grown tired of me and flew away. I am so sorry, my lady.”

Lord Vladislaus: “I had warned you about leaving her in charge, Lady Eloise. All she’s ever done is mess things up since you gave her that quarter.”

Lady Eloise: “Oh hush now, Vlad. She has had next to nothing to work with because you won’t spare your soldiers.”

Lord Vladislaus: “You’re damn right I won’t.”

Lady Lylliannah: “Oh dear, now you’ve upset her.”

Lord Vladislaus: “She should be upset! I’m upset! You and Eloise have gone soft and you’re let failures like her ruin everything we’ve built.”

Reece: You’re not supposed to go in there yet, sweetie!

Grace: Of course he doesn’t know yet!

Eloise: You’re not supposed to be in here! Mommy can’t-

LyllI: It’s me, you idiot! And I know you can understand me even if these people can’t! I’m taking you back home immediately! You wouldn’t believe how many worlds I’ve been to looking for you!

Eloise: And how do you think you’re going to do that while you look like…well, that.

Grace: Is everything okay, muchkin? Mommy is almost done talking to Grandma.

Lylli: I’m fine, really! Just go back to whatever it was you were doing.

Grace: Just a few more minutes and then we can play, okay?

Lylli: She didn’t react at all to me seeing her, so she must only care if she’s caught by the man. Hm…odd.

LyllI: I wonder if I’ll find a clue in one of these stupid books? Haha, didn’t think so.

*WOOSH* *Beep, beep, boop*

Lylli: What the hell was that?

Grace: Yes, of course he’s not here! I would never remove my disguise when he’s home!

Lylli: An alien? Hey, she sounds like the lady!

Grace:  Ugh, one second. I think the child is listening.

Lylli: Crap.

Grace: Oh, good! You’re awake! Someone is here to see you!

LyllI: Is it your hubby? …Hey, did you gain some weight while I was napping?

Grace: It’s so good to have you home, honey.

Lylli: All the people in the world and you chose this guy? Lady, you could probably do way better.

Grace: There will be three of us here to welcome you back home before long!

Reece: I know! I can’t wait!

Lylli: Ah, so she’s not fatter, she’s pregnant. I guess this is world is one of those fast aging ones. I hope that means I won’t be a toddler for much longer.
