In every life she lives, she always has that mark that follows her. Sometimes she’s born with it, but more often than not it is the result of an experiment gone ary.

This is an idea which was also posted 2 years ago. This one going to change slightly due to the fact that while she’s always going to end up with her scar, it’s no longer “ more often than not it is the result of an experiment gone ary.” I had originally pictured Eloise as a scientist, but Scarlet has taken over that role.

Eloise may have hid away from her troubles, but Scarlet wasn’t ready to end the fight. Her anger towards what had happened fueled her determination to set things right. Whenever Phyra was away tending to her duties, Scarlet was secretly searching for a way to force the hot-blooded Sun Godess to finally simmer down.

Eloise locked herself in her room and refused to come out. She did not want her friends to see her face, she did not want her parents to look upon her in sorrow, and she did not want to visit the realms where she was viewed as a horrible monstrosity. The years passed by and the world pushed on without her.

The Lady of the Lake was summoned to help heal Eloise’s pain. The swim to through the canals to the Underworld was not easy for her, but she endured it so that she could aid the sweet girl his son had told her so much about.

“She is resting now…I have done what I can,” she said, closing Eloise’s bedroom door behind her. “One of her eyes was severely damaged, but it should still be functional. The burns on her face should heal nicely due to the way they were inflicted, but she is going to be left with permanent scars. I am sorry.”

While Phyra and Scarlet fought, it was the Reaper who had found Eloise hunched over in agony on the ground. He was saddened to see his daughter in such a state. However, at the same time, it was something he had seen countless times before. Death was no stranger to terrible pain and suffering. The Reaper slowly picked Eloise up as gently as he could and opened a portal home.

“You can’t keep me locked up here forever! You need to let me go! I need to go help her!” Scarlet said, seething. “You should know better than anyone that I’m not going to rest until I find a way out.”

“You can certainly try. You have all of eternity to make an effort, after all,”  Phyra replied nonchalantly.

“Uuuugh!”

“Calm down, it was only–what was it the human called it? A slushie?"

"Huh?”

“Well, it was a blessed slushie. I was pleasantly surprised when turned out to be just as good as holy water. You wouldn’t believe what I had to go through to get it.“

“What did I do to be cursed with a mother who is beyond psychotic?”

“You bite your tongue!”

Phyra threw the contents of the cup at Eloise’s face. After a moment of shock, Eloise let out a blood-curdling scream. “Mother! What have you done?” Scarlet cried.

“Shut up! We’re going home! Don’t touch her unless you want some too!” Phyra yelled, grabbing Scarlet roughly by the arm.

Tears were streaming down Scarlet’s face, “I can’t just leave her here like this!”

“Oh, but you will!”
