Dorian ran into his mum at the alley. I let her interrupt their date just so I could watch her bowl in that gown, hahaha. =)
Celeste: “Ah, there you are! I’ve been looking all over for you, dear girl. You’re being reassigned to Wolfsbane Manor. I don’t have time to arrange an escort, so you’ll have to make your way on your own. If you follow the street down to the park and make a right at the intersection, it will be the first house you come across. I’ll still be watching you from afar, so don’t try any funny business.”
Jaina: “Um, okay…”
Celeste: “Oh good, you’re finally up. You found the clothes I left you, I see.”
Jaina: “Um, yeah. Thanks.”
Celeste: “Have a seat, please. We have a lot to talk about… Now, you’re going to begin to feel queasy in a few days. You’re going to go through some changes while you turn. It’s quite a slow, drawn-out process. You’re going to go shift through several different moods as well. It looks as though you already figured out that part, though. You are strangely perky this morning.”
Jaina: “Yep! I went to bed with a soul-crushing depression and woke up feeling fresh as a daisy. I’m still upset, yet I’m smiling happily.”
Celeste: “Yes, it’s quite refreshing. I’m glad your mournful face will stop depressing my son.”
Celeste: “Well, do you want the good news or the bad news first?”
Jaina: “Are you here to end my torment?”
Celeste: “In a way, perhaps. You’re free from your cage, at least.”
Jaina: “Please, I just want to go home. I miss my family.”
Celeste: “Ahahah! You stupid girl! You’re never going to see your family again!”
Lady Lylliannah: “Ah, so this is where you’ve been hiding. I’m happy to say that we finally all came to an agreement.”
Celeste: “Oh?”
Lady Lylliannah: “The human girl is to be turned and live in undeath as your attendant.”
Celeste: “Are you all barking mad? Also, how did you even get Vlad and Iris to agree to that?”
Lady Lylliannah: “It was Vlad’s idea. He said you clearly need more help, so not put her to use?”
Celeste: “You know I cannot promise this young girl’s safety here, vampire or not. We’re fighting a war on this land, after all.”
Lady Lylliannah: “Yes, which is absolutely dreadful. However, we thought of that as well. There are going to be some new requirements of you with this arrangement.”
*Meanwhile, in the council chamber…*
Lady Iris: “I think I speak for all of us when I say that this situation has been handled quite poorly.”
Lord Vladislaus: “Indeed.”
Lady Eloise: “Yes! I seem to remember you saying that you’d never let something like this happen again. I certainly hope you didn’t think that having only one lone young vampire on guard was a sound plan.”
Lady Lylliannah: “Only one guard? Celeste, what happened to my darling gargoyles that I lent you?”
Celeste: “I don’t know. They said they had grown tired of me and flew away. I am so sorry, my lady.”
Lord Vladislaus: “I had warned you about leaving her in charge, Lady Eloise. All she’s ever done is mess things up since you gave her that quarter.”
Lady Eloise: “Oh hush now, Vlad. She has had next to nothing to work with because you won’t spare your soldiers.”
Lord Vladislaus: “You’re damn right I won’t.”
Lady Lylliannah: “Oh dear, now you’ve upset her.”
Lord Vladislaus: “She should be upset! I’m upset! You and Eloise have gone soft and you’re let failures like her ruin everything we’ve built.”
Celeste: “Ahhh, it is so good to be back home. I’d love to show you around sometime, girl. However, we need to decide what we’re going to do with you first. I can’t just have you wandering around here so Dorian and Amy will have to take you downstairs for a while. I’m sorry to have to be such a terrible hostess.”
