I’ve decided to take on a new challenge within my Azura-Spark genetics challenge when our heir Parker becomes an adult!
I have a lot of sim families. I’m not sure if I have stated it before, but my plan for my genetics challenge is to incorporate all of my different family legacy saves into my current Azura-Spark family generation by generation. By doing so, I can (1) stop worrying about finally finishing off all of the unfinished legacies and (2) all of the heirs/heiresses can continue their family legacy within my currently active one.
There’s a small problem with this plan, however. I really, really want to do one of the other family legacy challenges in addition to my current genetics challenge. I keep getting tempted to start the Not So Berry legacy challenge. I already have too many damn legacies that I haven’t finished yet, so I certainly don’t want to start over again. Therefore, while going forward with the Azura-Spark family, I’m going to start doing the Not So Berry challenge in addition to trying to obtain specific genetics traits from each heir.
The different colours for each generation are going to be added using a heir/heiress from my old family legacies if they provide the colour I need for the next generation. This means that even though this is the “not so berry” challenge, there will definitely still be berry sims in this family legacy. The Not So Berry challenges begins with the colour green. It just so happens that The Cloud family left off with a green male sim as heir. Once Parker ages up to an adult, the Not So Berry challenge will start with Parker Azura-Spark and Kale Cloud as a couple. In the event that I don’t have an old legacy family to insert for a colour in the generations that follow, I’ll make a new sim, use one of my non-legacy sims, or find a townie that I like.
I think that doing multiple challenges with many of tasks to complete will keep me busy enough that I’ll stop restarting my family legacies over and over. At least, that’s what I’m hoping will happen, hahaha. I also won’t be inserting many story plots because I always seem to suddenly run out of inspiration to write, which is another reason why I suddenly abandon a family! So this is going to be almost purely gameplay. I’ll still add the occasional dialogue, but I think I’ll just try to keep the dialogue to the speech bubbles that I see in the sim’s discussions. I really like doing dialogue that way in The Sims 2. =)
